Proof of Age, Marriage & Residency

 

Specific documentation is required by the MRS. AMERICA Pageant to verify your eligibility to compete in the Mrs. Alabama America Pageant.  If, for any reason, we request additional documents to show proof of age, marital status, citizenship or documents to prove your Alabama residency…..the required documentation is itemized and explained in detail below.

You must submit the required documentation to be eligible to participate in the 2017 Mrs. Alabama America Pageant.

A. Proof of Age and Citizenship
You must submit an original or certified copy of your Birth Certificate. If you were not born in the United States, you must submit an original or certified copy of your passport or naturalization papers, in addition to your Birth Certificate, establishing that you are a citizen of the United States.

B. Proof of Marriage
You must submit an original or certified copy of your Marriage License. (To certify a copy of your original Birth Certificate and Marriage License…..take it to any Notary or your Bank and have them make a copy of both documents and notarize them.) Your bank usually does not charge a fee.

C. Proof of Residency
TWO forms of proof of residency are required showing that you have resided in the State of Alabama for three (3) months immediately prior to the state pageant date. Your proof of residency should include a copy of your Valid Alabama Driver’s License, plus one of any of the following documents: (If you do not have a driver’s license, you must send two different forms from the list below; one of which must be an item listed in bold type below. The other can be from the NOT bold type list below.

• State Driver’s License
• Payroll Stub or W-4
• Voter ID or registration card
• Alabama Income Tax return
• Apartment Lease
• Homeowner’s Deed


• Credit Card Bill
• Bank Statement
• Telephone/Cell Phone/Water Bill
• Automobile Registration
• Magazine Issue cover


These documents must be issued in YOUR name, be dated three (3)months prior to the state pageant date and show an Alabama address. Use a Sharpie to cross out any sensitive information such as your account number or bank balance.
