JUDGING

In the Mrs. America Organization, contestants are judged in

25% – Beauty
25% – Poise and Personality
25% – Swimsuit
25% – Interview

The number of Semi-Finalists will be determined by the total number of contestants. We refer to the system of scoring as the “mention system” since no numerical points are used. Instead, we count the number of votes or “mentions.”  Contestants with the most “mentions” advance to the next level of competition.

Once the judges have chosen the Top 5, they then rank the contestants in order. Points are awarded for each placement to determine the order of the Finalists and ultimately, the Winner.

No scores or critiques will be given after the pageant.

Judges are seeking the “Total Married Woman,” someone who:

• Has natural beauty, both inside and out
• Has a warm, pleasant personality
• Has an attractive, physically fit body
• Will be a good state representative at Mrs. America
• Is a confident individual who is comfortable with herself
• Is an intelligent woman who will be a positive role model
• Recognizes and appreciates the benefits of winning
• Looks forward to serving her state
