EXAMPLE ADS FROM THE 2016 ALABAMA PROGRAM BOOK AND THE LAST ONE IS MADELINE’S MRS. AMERICA PROGRAM BOOK AD

EASY AD IDEA:  “LOVE LINES”

I have uploaded two pages to illustrate a sample page of “Love Lines”.  Simply select a color head shot photo of yourself or you and your family….paste it in the middle of a plain white sheet of paper and then ask your friends and family to buy a “LOVE LINE”.  If you charge $25.00 per Oval for 10 Ovals you will have $250.00 to pay for the ad and the creation of your page..  The page is limited to 10 Ovals.  Send your Love Lines, Check and Photo to the Pageant Office and the messages will be typed in the Ovals.   Remember…..All ads must be full page and color.

SUBMIT ONLY FULL PAGE COLOR ADS AND COLOR PHOTOS FOR THE PROGRAM BOOK!!!!!!

ALL AD COPY AND MONEY MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE PAGEANT DIRECTOR  TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE PAGEANT DATE TO MEET THE PROGRAM PUBLISHING DEADLINE.  

WHY SELL ADS?
Each Contestant is encouraged to sell or buy at least one ad page for the State Program Book.  An Ad Page gives the judges an opportunity to see your picture in other poses with friends and family in addition to your “headshot.”  The judges receive a Program Book in their Judge Packet.  They see the photos before they see you.

PHOTOGENIC AWARD: The Photogenic Award will be selected by the Judges from the ADS in the Program Book..The number of ADS you have in the program will have no effect on the selection of the Photogenic Award or the winner of the title of Mrs. Alabama America.


*ALL ADS MUST BE CAMERA READY – *Camera Ready means the ad is created and ready to send to the program printer when we receive it in the pageant office.    If the ad has to be created there will be aN EXTRA $50.00 charge to create each ad added to the $200.00 price of the color full page ad.


AD PRICE: $200.00 per full color page ad…… if the ad is Camera Ready.  See below for a full explanation of * Camera Ready Ad and *Created Ads.

AD SIZE:

ONLY FULL PAGE COLOR ADS (7½” x 10″) – Camera Ready – $200.00 per full page ad.  If  the ad must be created the price is $250.00 per full page ad.
Photos used in ads can be returned to you at the pageant if you request it in advance.

AD RESTRICTIONS:
Photographs containing crowns or banners are NOT acceptable. Ads may NOT include any pageant titles, crowns or banners. Rhonda Garrett Gilliam/DBA Mrs. Alabama America reserves the right to refuse any ad she deems unsuitable.

*CAMERA READY ADS:
A camera-ready ad is one that is submitted to our office as a completed file on a disk/CD or via email to
rhonda@rhondagilliam.com.  “Camera-ready”ads require no alterations and can be sent to our printer for publication just as we receive them. Copies, faxes and other printed materials (e.g. business cards) do NOT qualify as camera-ready ads. Camera ready ads will be: PDF files with all fonts embedded or In-Design files with all fonts, pictures and logos on one disk/CD
Saved at 305 DPI or greater………Accompanied by a printed hard copy for reference, if submitted on a disk/CD

Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher files are NOT considered camera ready and will be charged the $50.00 design fee.

*CREATED ADS:
A created ad is one that must be designed based on the information you provide to the pageant office. Logos, text, pictures and suggested layouts can be mailed or e-mailed to rhonda@rhondagilliam.com   Be certain you include all the information you expect to see in the ad, but be wary of cramming too many photos or too much text into the ad  There is a $50.00 fee to create the ad.

AD SPECIFICATIONS:
Accepted Formats: CD – Accepted Programs: Pagemaker 7.0 – In-Design – Adobe PDF – Photos: Color, jpg or tiff, 305 DPI Line Art Graphics 1200 DPI

If someone purchases an ad for or from you……Have the Ad Purchaser make Checks Payable to…(Your Name.) Write “Mrs. Alabama America Pageant AD” in the bottom left hand corner “For” line of the check. Deposit the check to your bank and write Mrs. Alabama America a check for the correct amount for the ad. If the ad purchaser asks for a Tax Number give him/her your Social Security Number. WE DO NOT SUPPLY A TAX NUMBER, W-9 FORM OR SEND YOUR AD PURCHASER AN INVOICE.

ADVERTISEMENT FORMS:
The Program Book Ad Order Form should be printed from the Online Form Section.
Complete and submit one form with each ad.
Paperclip the Ad Form with payment for each ad you submit.
If you e-mail your layout, you must also mail the order form, payment and payment record.
Camera-ready Ads submitted on CD should be accompanied by a printed hard copy of the layout. When sending information for created ads containing photographs include original prints. Mailed created ads should also contain a typed or handwritten layout of the ad.
