EXAMPLES OF INTERVIEW OUTFITS WORN BY 2017 DELEGATES AT THE MRS. AMERICA COMPETITION.
MRS. WASHINGTON WAS CROWNED MRS. AMERICA
The purpose of an interview is to determine your ability to communicate. Your affability and subject knowledge are essential, but your attire will also play a vital role in dictating the final outcome. First impressions are, by definition, instant and it only takes seconds for a complete stranger to formulate a positive or negative opinion of you based on your appearance alone.
Choose a suit, pantsuit or dress in a color and style that you feel is appropriate for a job interview…..one that you feel presents you in a business and self-confident manner. Be sure your outfit fits well and is not too loose or too tight and allows you to sit comfortably. Make sure your accessories compliment your outfit. Are they too much, not enough?
ACCESSORIES: Heels and Earrings – Choose shoes and accessories that are appropriate for business attire. Click the Shoes Category for photo examples. No cocktail dress or rhinestone beading for this portion of the competition.
