IN CHOOSING YOUR GOWN – THINGS TO CONSIDER…….
Which of your physical features make me feel great/unique/special and how can you make them pop? Do you have great shoulders? Choose a strapless or one shoulder gown! Tiny waist? Choose a gown that emphasizes it. You get the idea – choose your favorite features and plan to play them up. Take into consideration your skin tone, hair style, and preferred make-up combination as well.
A Mrs. Contestant may wish remain a little more conservative. If you are unsure, don’t be afraid to ask your pageant director. These photo examples are provided to guide you inchoosing your gown.
BASIC GOWN REQUIREMENTS
Each contestants provides a full-length gown in HER choice of style and color that she feels depicts her own personal style. The gown can be straight, full, heavily beaded or not beaded. The judges will be judging you and the way you look in the gown you have chosen, not the gown. The trend is simple elegance.
FYI – On the night of the pageant only put on your gown after you have touched up your makeup and applied your hairspray. Avoid sitting in your gown. Bring an easy on and off cover-up or robe to wear until you are ready to put on your gown.
